Thean Hou Temple Kuala Lumpur, situated not far from the bustling capital city of Kuala Lumpur. This temple of the largest temples in the region enchants visitors with the beauty of architecture and sculpture dragon. The six tiered Thean Hou Temple dedicated to its main deity Thean Hou (Heavenly Goddess). The others deities house within the temple are Kuan Yin (Goddess of Mercy) and Shui Wei (Goddess of the Hokkien Fisherman). At the ground level, a life size Chinese Zodiac sign for tourist to learn about their personal character or their partner.
The cost to build Thean Hou Temple approximately about RM7 million and took about 6 years to complete. The temple officially opened for public on 3rd September 1989. It’s managed and run by Selangor & Federal Territory Hainan Association. Besides as prayers hall, Thean Hou temple also provided a marriage registration and banquets halls for mini concert and dinner.
