During that time, there is no proper system until 1989 Malaysia utility company in collaboration with the local council builds a proper jetty, ticket counter and rotating system for boatman. Since then Kampung Kuantan was known as Kampung Kuantan Fireflies Park.

According to the researches, there are about 1900 – 2000 species of fireflies can be found in the world, in Kuala Selangor three species of fireflies can be found along Selangor Rivers. The biggest colony is Pteroptyx Tener has the ability to sync the blinking pattern while another two species of fireflies known as Pteroptyx Valida and Pteroptyx Malaccae. Ticket counter is only available after Magrib prayers around 7.45pm. Ticket prices RM50 per-boat. Maximum load is 4 people. Tours duration approximately 20 – 25 minutes depending on rivers tide and current. Currently Kampung Kuantan Fireflies Park has about 30 boat with capacity to carry about 240 – 300 people in one hours. Estimated about 3500 people visited Kampung Kuantan Fireflies Park every month.
2. Kampung Belimbing Fireflies Park
The park is fully managed by a private company. The fiberglass boat with battery power engine is used for the firefly’s tour. Maximum boat loads 14 people. Tour duration approximately 30 minutes depending on crowded. Ticket prices RM14 per-person. Kampung Belimbing Fireflies Park has ability to carry about 150 passenger in one hours.
3. Pasir Penambang Fireflies Park
The park is run by individual known as Mr. Johnson. Here, the fiberglass boat power by Petrol is used for the Fireflies tour. Tour duration approximately 45 minutes. Ticket prices RM18 per-person. Pasir Penambang Fireflies Park has a capacity to bring about 180 passenger in one hours.
