Lata Iskandar Waterfall
During the Cameron Highlands day trip, the first site we will visit will be the Lata Iskandar waterfalls. Lata in the Malay language means waterfalls. Iskandar name is from one of Sultan Perak Sultan Idris Iskandar Al-Mutawakkil Alallahi Shah. Besides crystal clear waterfalls, tourists can find a local shop selling crafts made from Bamboo and Malaysian herbals such as Tongkat Ali and Kacip Fatimah.

Blowpipe Demostration
Malaysia has a vast diversity of ethnic. However, the original people of Malaysia are Orang Asli. Orang Asli refers to the indigenous peoples living in peninsular Malaysia who are not Malay Muslims. They estimated about 180,000 indigenous people live in Peninsular Malaysia. Most of them live in the hinterland and suburbs and still maintain about 50% of their natural lifestyle.
Therefore, we take this opportunity to visit the most prominent tribe of Orang Asli in peninsular Malaysia, known as the Senoi tribe. Besides learning about their social culture and economy, the tourist has an opportunity to try to use a blowpipe, one of the indigenous tools used for hunting.
Cameron Valley Tea Plantation
Cameron Valley Tea is the first Tea plantation we will visit during the Cameron Highlands day trip from Kuala Lumpur. Cameron Valley Tea, also known as Bharat Tea, was established in 1933 by Mr.Shivparshad Bansal. He was born in Agra, India, and migrated to Malaya when he was 12 years old.
After successfully becoming a wholesaler leader in the Tea industry, Bharat group decided to expand its business in retail. In 1996, the Bharat group established its brand, Cameron Valley Tea. Covering about 286 hectares of land, Cameron Valley Tea shop (TS2) provides Malaysia’s best tea plantation view.

Local Museum The Time Tunnel
Time tunnel museums are the best place to learn how Cameron Highlands’ development has progressed since before the Second World War until today. Initially, Cameron Highlands was known as the Experimental Hill Station. However, the main reason the British have to establish Cameron Highlands is the spike in population in Malaya. In addition, the British need a place for farming to provide food due to the influx of immigrants from China and India. Most of the items in Time Tunnel belong to Mr. Kok, a local collector, and donate by the previous British officer who had been assigned to work in Malaya during British colonization.
Butterflies Garden
We continue our Cameron Highlands day tour by visiting the butterfly’s garden managed by the Tan family since 1970. It currently has about 500 insects, butterflies, snakes, reptiles, and plants. A great place to learn about Malaysian fauna and flora.

BOH Tea Sungai Palas Estate

The main highlight of our Cameron Highlands day tour itinerary is visiting BOH Tea Sungai Palas Estate. BOH Tea is the biggest and oldest Tea company in Malaysia and produces about 75% of Tea Tourists can discover the tea-making process by visiting the Tea processing factory. In addition, we stay longer here to allow tourists to enjoy the tea plantation scenery with fresh tea.
